2nd MOIP (Mediterranean Integration Orthodontic Project) Network Congress
The mission of the “Mediterranean Orthodontic Integration Project” Network, born in 2005, is to build a “cultural bridge” among Mediterranean Countries, sharing different experiences, to facilitate the global improvement of the quality of educational programs and the standard of patients’ care.
After the first workshop in Cairo, Presidents and Delegates of the participating Societies met in 2006 in Firenze, in 2007 in Napoli and in 2008 in Venezia, discussing common plans. So far 20 Orthodontic Associations, representing 18 Mediterranean Countries, have joined the network.
In 2010 the beautiful city of Viareggio, on the Tuscan coast, will host the 2nd MOIP Network Meeting, within the SIDO Spring Meeting. The program involves a number of speakers from the Mediterranean area, and it is hoped that some of the various initiatives suggested by all Societies will be finalized. The President Carmela Savastano and the whole all SIDO Membership are looking forward to welcoming our Mediterranean Colleagues to exchange ideas and plans and to strengthen the bonds within the Network.
