Dear Members, Colleagues of MOIP Societies and Friends
The planning of a Spring Meeting, which is also 2nd MOIP Congress (Mediterranean Integration Orthodontic Project), requires a remarkable effort in order to attain the right importance that the event deserves. Your active participation will make it a success and will repay us of our work. We asked ourselves what would attire your attention and stimulate your curiosity to make you decide to spend a weekend of May with SIDO. We sought two solutions: |
- a quality scientific program which conveys clinical informations that can be put into practice since your return to the office. “New Perspectives for “Patient-Centered” Orthodontics” is not only a title coherent with today’s medicine, but it is an actual opportunity to get updated on the possibilities to personalize the treatment of the individual patient. We chose three themes: “Clinical Advantages from Genetic Research” (are we far from the moment in which a saliva sample will help the Orthodontist to make a prognosis and to chose the right treatment for a malocclusion??); “Prediction of Biomechanical Response for the Identification of Treatment of Choice”; “Prediction of the Response to Functional-Orthopedic Treatment”. These themes will be dealt and discussed by Speakers, Discussants and Chairmen, leaders in orthodontics, renowned worldwide. We thank them deeply for the remarkable clinical and scientific contribution that you can see already when reading not only the Abstracts, but also the "Learning objectives" that were requested for the first time to SIDO's Speakers. For the very first time, we will have be the first time that we will have Chairmen introducing sessions, briefly explaining the criticalities and present controversies on the theme, through summarising points. SIDO has also the pleasure to welcome once again, as pre-congress satellite meeting, the Study Groups of two Societies, its affiliated Sibos and Sida.
- A user-friendly and efficient organization will favour special moments of comparison between colleagues of different cultures and traditions, and between professionals and SIDO Partners: the pre-congress Golf Tournament, the Guided Tour to the GAMC Museum of Viareggio, the Photo Display, the Coffee breaks in the Exhibition Area, the Lunch on the Terrace, the Social Dinner and other events. We will offer the possibility to everybody to take part to a pleasant and profitable Congress; a Baby Parking will be available with a minimum of 15 requests. The Meeting will take place at a new location for SIDO, in Viareggio, Tuscany, with a “Congress Palace” on the sea. This historical seaside, located nearby Pisa Airport, easy to reach by car and by train, will offer you any sort of comfort. For further information, please visit SIDO website.
